Interreg Aurora projects ongoing in the Pasvik-Inari Transboundary Area.

Our Precious Transboundary Waters - where water is shared between two or more countries, the same threats to the environment is shared. In this Interreg Aurora funded project the aim of the cooperation is solving shared challenges by developing joint tools that is needed in a joint water management of Pasvik, Neiden and Tana river catchements.

 

CLAP - Climate change communication and adaptation of Arctic protected areas - the ongoing climate change affects national parks and other nature protected areas already in many ways, including effects on nature types, species and recreational facilities. Chaning conditions threathen the values of the areas and create new risks for both management and visitors. Addressing climate change within the management of protected areas is cruicial, to maintaining a sustainable and safe management and to preserve valuable resources, as far as possible.
