Partners of the Trilateral Park network and cooperate on all levels with relevant stakeholders and local residents. Through cooperation on all levels both nationally and internationally the results and quality of works increase and give long lasting value.

 

EUROPARC Federation - new opportunities for cooperation

To strengthen the trilateral cooperation over the borders, the partners of Pasvik-Inari Trilateral Park applied for and received the Transboundary Parks...following nature's design -certificate, in 2008. The EUROPARC Transboundary park criteria provide managers of transboundary protected areas with tools to maintain a long lasting, high quality cooperation for nature management in the future.

The transboundary certificate brings national and international recognition to the work of the recipient parks, and raises the profile of the Pasvik-Inari area.

Pasvik-Inari Trilateral Park confrmed its certificate from 2008, in 2013 and in 2018.

Pasvik-Inari Trilateral Park also takes actively part in the EUROPARC Transboundary Parks Network (TPN).

Green Belt of Fennoscandia

Pasvik-Inari area is also actively taking part in the cooperation and development of Fennoscandian Green Belt initative. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation on the development of Green Belt Fennoscandia was signed by the Barents Environmental Ministers in 2010.
